HSSC PRT Eligibility

The HSSC PRT Eligibility 2024 has been declared through an official notification on the website of HSSC. The candidates must be between the age group of 18 to 42 years of age. Moreover, the candidates must be Indian nationals with an adequate set of educational qualifications. They must possess a diploma in Elementary Education. And they must have cleared Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET)/School Teachers Eligibility Test (STET). They must be able to bring all the valid ID proofs for verification purposes. HSSC PRT Eligibility 2024

The Haryana Staff Selection Commission decides the Eligibility for all Primary Teaching positions. The Candidates for the HSSC PRT positions in 2024 must meet the educational, age, and experience standards. The Haryana Staff Selection Commission declares all these parameters. Applicants must have the necessary educational qualifications from a recognized institution. These must be relevant to the position they are seeking for. The HSSC PRT Eligibility standards ensure that only candidates with the necessary qualifications and skills apply. It also preserves the recruitment process’s integrity. Establishing clear eligibility requirements leads to a fair and transparent selection process that rejects unqualified candidates. 

HSSC PRT Age Limit 

The candidates who want to apply for the post should be between 18 to 42 years of age. They must not exceed 42 years of age to be eligible. For the reserved categories, there will be an age relaxation. The precise age limit will be provided through the official notification. 

HSSC PRT Educational Qualification

To be eligible for the teaching position, candidates must meet one of the following educational qualifications: 

  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks along with a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
  • Or Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations 2002.
  • Or Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.). 
  • Or Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education). 
  • Or a Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.Sc./B.Com.) along with a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

In addition, candidates must hold a certificate of having qualified the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET)/School Teachers Eligibility Test (STET). Furthermore, they must have passed Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit or possess 10+2/B.A./M.A. qualifications with Hindi as one of the subjects.

Age Relaxation

The upper age limit is susceptible to relaxation by regulations that apply to numerous reserved groups. This will include SC/ST, OBC, and PwBD applicants.

(iv)Wives of military personnel who are disabled while in military service5 years’ relaxation in age
(v)Widowed or legally divorced women5 years’ relaxation in age
(vi)Judicially separated women residing separately for more than two years from the date as prescribed for the purpose of age for applicants of other categories.5 years’ relaxation in age
(vii)Unmarried women5 years’ relaxation in age
(viii)Ex-serviceman including Short Service Commissioned Officers and Emergency Commissioned Officers.Relaxation in age equal to his military service added by three years, provided:(a) He has rendered continuous military service for not less than six months before his release; and(b) He was released otherwise than by dismissal or discharge on account of misconduct or inefficiency.
(ix)Persons who have already worked or are presently working on adhoc/contract/work-charged/daily wages basis in any Department/Board/Corporation of Haryana Government including Government-aided institutions.Relaxation in age equal to the number of completed years only on equivalent post on adhoc/contract/work-charged/daily wages basis excluding any breaks, including any other age relaxation, subject to a maximum age of 52 years. If appointed on a regular basis with the benefit of relaxation, the same cannot be availed again for subsequent appointments.

HSSC PRT Nationality 

The candidates who want to apply for the post must be citizens of India. Apart from this, the applicant must be able to provide all the documents and valid ID proofs for verification purposes.

HSSC PRT Experience

The candidates can have working experience as a teacher at an elementary level as it can be advantageous. And this can provide you with an age relaxation criteria. However, it is not mandatory to have experience, if you possess the required qualifications for the HSSC PRT Eligibility.
