Odisha Government to Fill 60000 Vacancies in Next Two Years

The Odisha Government is planning to fill 60000 Vacancies in next two years across various departments. In an effort to increase employment and boost the economic growth in the Odisha state, Governor Raghubar Das declared on Monday that the “Make-in-Odisha” project will create over 3.5 lakh jobs by 2029. During the first day of the budget session, the Governor addressed the Assembly during the opposition walkout. He stated that the government would guarantee hiring for all 1.5 lakh open positions, including 65,000 opportunities within the next two years. According to him, priority would be given to filling positions designated for PwD, athletes, SC, ST, SEBC, and ex-servicemen. Odisha Government to Revolutionize Agriculture Industry by 2027

Further he announced how the government is planning to transform the agriculture sector by introducing the Samrudh Krushak Niti. This will be decided according to the paddy procured at `3,100 per quintal and payment will be made within 48 hours via direct benefit transfer.

The Governor expressed the highest regard for Matru Shakti and stated that by building industrial clusters for Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and offering facility management for product marketing and promotion, the government hopes to generate 25 lakh Lakhpati Didis in Odisha by 2027. According to him, SHGs that have effectively converted into SMSEs would also receive incentives from the state government.

The first BJP government in the state, according to Das, will focus on policies that support farmers, provide jobs for young people, and empower women in order to fulfill the goal of “Viksit Odisha” by 2036. “Reform, perform, and transform will be the government’s motto to usher in a new era of inclusive, rapid, and sustainable development,” he declared. 

According to the governor, the state government wants Odisha to lead eastern India in the development of industries, infrastructure, and other areas. In addition, it seeks to provide financial inclusion, improve education and skill development, and wisely utilize natural resources. The governor also stated that the use of AI platforms in public schools will transform the field of education. In addition to modernizing the state’s government engineering colleges, he said that 800 government schools would become PM-SHRI schools. Announcing that the Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Aarogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) would be implemented in Odisha, he stated that 3,000 new doctors would be appointed throughout the state. In addition, the government will guarantee that all district hospitals have enough nurses, pediatricians, and gynecologists on staff.
