The AFCAT Eligibility 2024 has been announced on the official website of the Indian Air Force. The aspirants who wish to join the Indian Air Force (IAF) must meet the eligibility conditions. The minimum and maximum age should be between 20-24 years old.  It’s crucial to know that male and female eligibility requirements will vary and in some cases reserved categories will also have different eligibility parameters. To choose Class-I Gazetted Officers for Flying and Ground Duties (Technical and Non-Technical), the AFCAT exam is administered twice a year. AFCAT Age Limit 2024

The minimum and maximum age of the aspirants must be between 20 to 24 years of age. However, this will differ for the reserved categories or according to the various positions. You must check the table to ensure the desired age limit.

AFCAT Educational Qualification 2024

To be eligible for numerous AFCAT positions, applicants must have passed Class 12th through an accredited board. It is not essential for candidates to have any prior experience in order to apply for the AFCAT Recruitment. The educational qualifications for various positions are as follows:

AFCAT Nationality 2024

The candidates who are applying for AFCAT posts must be a citizen of India. A candidate with a foreign nationality will not be eligible to apply for the Class-I Gazetted Officers in Flying and Ground Duties (Technical and Non-Technical) Posts. 

AFCAT Physical and Medical Requirements

In order to take the AFSB exams, candidates should maintain good health when reporting for the SSB. This section will address the AFCAT Exam Eligibility for both male and female candidates. The candidates should attempt to finish 10 pushups, 3 chin-ups, and 1 mile (1.6 km) in 10 minutes. Candidates are advised to maintain good physical health to withstand the demanding physical training at AFA, which includes running, swimming, rope climbing, and other exercises. Additionally, candidates must undergo tests as part of their training.

AFCAT Marital Status

All the aspirants must not be married while applying for the post. Candidates must note that marriage is not permitted during the training period. Those who marry during the period of training will be disqualified from the board and will be liable to refund all expenditures incurred on them by the government.

AFCAT Eligibility for NCC Flying Branch Special Entry

The NCC (National Cadet Corps) special entry is a once in a lifetime opportunity for candidates who hold a valid NCC Air Wing Senior Division ‘C’ certificate to join the Flying Branch of the Indian Air Force through AFCAT. It is important to note that the NCC special entry scheme in the Flying Branch is subject to the availability of vacancies and other eligibility criteria.

AFCAT Number of Attempts

All the candidates must ensure that they should not have applied for the exam more than 16 times. As one can have a maximum of 16 attempts – 2 attempts per year for AFCAT (total 8 attempts) and 2 attempts per year. Aspirants can attempt the exam if they fulfill the AFCAT Eligibility conditions mentioned above along with the age limit criteria.
