The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has officially informed the UPPSC PCS Syllabus 2024 with the Exam Pattern. Based on the updated exam format and UPPSC syllabus, additional topics have been eliminated. 8 mandatory exams will now make up the UPPCS main test; optional courses have been removed. The Uttar Pradesh Combined State/Upper Subordinate (UPPSC) Exam is organized by the UPPSC in order to select applicants for a number of roles with the Uttar Pradesh government. In order to prepare well, candidates need to be familiar with the UPPCS Syllabus and Exam Pattern. UPPSC PCS Syllabus 2024

The syllabus for the UPPSC PCS will comprise of two exams: prelims and mains. Both the exams will evaluate the aspirant’s knowledge in different domains and subjects. The aspirants must note that from now on, 8 papers will  be needed for the UPPCS Mains.

Moreover, there is no more opportunity to select optional subjects. The two optional subject peppers have been replaced with two required papers. The general knowledge of Uttar Pradesh will be covered in these papers. Continue reading to know more about the syllabus.

UPPSC PCS Prelims Syllabus

The prelims syllabus for UPPSC PCS will constitute a total of 2 papers. Both the papers will have different subjects. There will be subjects like General Science, World geography, history and Economy etc. Aspirants must prepare accordingly.

UPPSC PCS Exam Pattern 2024

The UPPSC PCS will consist of two exams, preliminary and mains examination. The Preliminary eczema will consist of two papers. However, the mains exam will comprise an assessment of 8 papers. Both the exams will have a different marking scheme. The Paper 1 & 2 of Prelims exam will consist of a total 200 marks each. On the other hand the papers included in the mains examination will have a separate marking criteria for each subject. Read the article below to know more.

Marking Scheme For UPPCS Prelims Exam 2023

The aspirants must note that the Stage 1, or the Prelims test, includes questions with multiple responses in an objective format. This has been divided into two papers, Paper 1 and Paper 2, the specifics of which are given in the paragraph above. 1/3rd marks will be allotted to that question and will be subtracted for each incorrect response.

Stage III – UPPSC PCS Interview (Viva Voce) 

In addition to evaluating general awareness, intelligence, personality, and general suitability for the service, the test will also focus on matters of general interest with academic interest in view. The UPPCS test course is extensive, consisting of two written exams with varying phases. The UPPCS interview does not follow a set format. At this stage, all document verification does effect, and the candidates meet with a specific interview board. Following the interview, a final choice is made.
