TS TET Eligibility

The TS TET Eligibility 2024 has been declared through an official notification on the website of TS TET. The candidates are not required to be of a certain age group as the age limit criteria are not applicable for the exam. Apart from that, they must have passed their inter immediate form a recognized board or institution. In addition to this, they must hold a diploma of elementary education or 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.). They must be the citizens of India and domicile of the Telangana State. TS TET Eligibility 2024

The candidates must fulfill all the minimal requirements in order to be eligible to apply for the Telangana State Teacher Eligibility Test Exam. You must meet certain requirements regarding age and education level. In addition, they must be Indian citizens and have the required identity certificates. The Exam will not be open to applications from candidates who do not match the eligibility conditions. There can be further requirements for language proficiency in Hindi, English, or any other state-relevant vernacular language. The recruitment will be done on the basis of selection process criteria & only those candidates will be able to apply for the post who will meet the eligibility parameters. TS TET Age Limit 

The aspiring candidates do not have to be of a certain age for the TS TET exam as the exam does not require them to be of any specific age group to be eligible for the post of Telangana State Teacher Eligibility Test.

TS TET Educational Qualification

Th candidates must possess the educational qualification required to appear for the TS TET exam. Refer to the table below for more details:

Paper- I(Classes I to V)(i) Intermediate / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks. However in case of SC/ST/BC/Differently abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45%. AND pass in 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education / 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) / 2 year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
OR
(ii) Intermediate / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with atleast 45% marks. In respect of SC / ST / BC / Differently abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 40%. AND pass in 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education / 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) / 2 year Diploma in Education (Special Education) in case of the candidates who have passed or admitted to D.El.Ed / D.Ed., course prior to issue of these guidelines (23-12-2015).
Paper-II(Classes VI to VIII).(i) B.A./B.Sc./B.Com., with at least 50% marks. In case of SC/ST/BC/Differently abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45%. AND pass in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course / Bachelor of Education (B.Ed -Special Education).
OR
(ii) B.A./B.Sc./B.Com., with at least 50% marks. In respect of SC/ST/BC/Differently abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 40%. AND pass in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course / Bachelor of Education (B.Ed -Special Education) in case of the candidates who have passed or admitted to B.Ed., course prior to issue of these guidelines (23-12-2015).
OR
(iii) 4-year B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed., with at least 50% marks, in case of SC/ST/BC/Differently abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45%.
OR
(iv) Graduation with language concerned as one of the optional subjects OR Bachelor of oriental language (or its equivalent) OR Graduation in literature OR Post Graduation in language concerned AND Language Pandit Training Certificate/B.Ed with language concerned as one of the Methodologies, in respect of Language Teachers.
OR
(v) B.E/B.Tech with at least 50% marks. In respect of SC/ST/BC/Differently abled
candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45% and Pass in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or B.Ed. (Special Education).

TS TET Nationality 

The candidates must be citizens of India in order to be eligible for the post. Apart from that, they must be able to provide the valid document proofs to support their claims. they can be:

  • A subject of Bhutan or Nepal or,
  • A Tibetan refugee who migrated to India before 1st January 1962 to settle in the country permanently or,
  • An Indian person who has come over from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia, Ethiopia, Zaire, or Vietnam to settle in India on a permanent note.

They need to be a domicile of Telangana state to be eligible for the post. The candidates from all over the country are not invited to apply for the post. This will be applicable if they meet all the Telangana State Teacher Eligibility Test eligibility parameters as well.

TS TET Number of Attempts

The official notification does not mention a specific number of attempts. The candidates can apply as many times as they want to appear for the examination.

TS TET Experience

The TS TET Exam does not require a specific work experience. However, if you have some work experience, it will be desirable. You can provide your experience certificates as proof.
