Karnataka TET Eligibility 2024
All the aspirants must know that the selection process for recruitment of primary, upper primary teachers, etc for the Karnataka state will involve some eligibility parameters which the candidates must meet. This will decide whether they are eligible for the selection.
Educational Qualification
The educational qualification requirements must be met by the applicants. They are as follows:
Paper I (Classes I to V)
The candidate must have passed Class 12th or relevant qualification with at least 50% marks. Along with this, the applicant must possess a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.Ed) or a four-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) degree recognized by NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education).
Paper II (Classes VI to VIII)
The candidate must have completed graduation in any discipline with at least 50% marks. Along with this, the applicant must possess a B.Ed degree or equivalent teacher training qualification recognized by NCTE.
Age Limit
The interested candidates must know that there is no upper age limit required to appear in the Karnataka TET exam.

Karnataka TET Selection Process 2024
All the eligible candidates will be required to go through some selection stages for the final selection of teacher vacancies across the Karnataka state. The candidates will not be assessed on any grading system. The stages are as follows:
Written Exam
The exam will take place in an offline mode in a MCQ format. The exam will comprise of two papers, the applicants can apply for either Paper I (Classes I to V) or Paper II (Classes VI to VIII). They can apply for both as well. The exam will cover questions from key subjects like Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I, Language-II (English/Hindi/Urdu/Sanskrit), and the relevant subject(s) for Paper II. The candidates will have to secure a minimum qualifying mark.
Interview
Once the candidate qualifies the examination, there will be an interview round depending on the need of the schools they apply to across Karnataka state. This stage will be like a personality test and assessment of behavioral patterns.
Teaching Demo
