Nationality
The candidates must be citizens of India and the following are also eligible:
- The Tibetan refugees who migrated to India before 1st January 1962 are also eligible.

Age Limit
The minimum age of the candidate must be 21 years of age and the maximum age can be 28 years of age. There is an age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/OBC and UP State government servants. It is up to 3 years age relaxation for Ex-servicemen.
Educational Qualification
- The candidate should be a Graduate from any stream from UGC recognized University/Institute to be eligible for this recruitment.
- The candidates applying for the post of Fire Officer must be a Science Graduate.
- The candidate must have a typing speed of 30 WPM in English or 25 WPM in Hindi language.
- The candidate should have an O Level Certificate in DOEACC/ NIELIT.
Physical Standard
The physical standard for a male and a female candidate is as follows:
- Male: Gen/ OBC/ SC: Height: 163 cms and Chest: 77 – 82 cms. ST: Height: 156 cms and Chest: 75 – 80 cms.
- Female: Gen/ OBC/ SC: Height: 150 cms and Chest: N/A. ST: Height: 145 cms and Chest: N/A. Minimum weight for females should be 40 kg.

- Female: 2.4 km: 16 minutes
- Male: 4.8 km: 28 minutes
UP Police ASI Recruitment Selection Process 2024
The selection board has some specific multistages procedure to decide a perfect candidate for the post of ASI recruitment. The selection process includes a total of 5 stages: a written examination, verification & physical measurement test, and computer typing/stenography test.
