The Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) has announced the preliminary test date. The exam will take place in two shifts on August 25th, 2024. Paper I will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., while Paper II will take place from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. KPSC is in charge of organizing exams to choose deserving people for the position of Karnataka Administrative Services (KAS). KPSC KAS Recruitment Exam Pattern 2024
The KPSC KAS Exam Pattern includes two written exams: Prelims and Mains. Candidates who pass the prelims are eligible for the final exam. The Karnataka Administrative Services test pattern used by the KPSC for both of these exams is mentioned in the table below. Candidates should understand the following crucial points.
- The preliminary test consists of two papers, while the main exam has nine papers.
- Candidates will be given two hours for each paper during the preliminary examination.
- A bad answer in the preliminary exam has a 0.25 penalty.
- There is no negative grading in the Main Exam.
- The Prelims test contains multiple-choice questions, whereas the Mains exam contains descriptive questions.
- The question paper is set in both English and Kannada (save for the language section).
