The Food Corporation of India (FCI) is the exam-conducting authority that will release the FCI Stenographer Syllabus and Exam Pattern. FCI Stenographer Exam Pattern 2024

The official notification includes a detailed exam pattern for FCI Stenographer Recruitment 2024. The FCI Stenographer Recruitment 2024 Exam is divided into three stages: the online test and the skill test, followed by the document verification stage. The online exam is further broken into two phases: Phase I and Phase II. The final merit list is based on the marks received in the Phase II exam, assuming the individual qualifies for the skill test.

FCI Stenographer Exam Pattern for Online Exam

  1. The online exam consists of Objective type multiple-choice questions.
  2. There will be 100 questions, with each carrying one mark.
  3. Every erroneous response will be marked down 1/4th, and no marks will be removed for unanswered questions.
  4. Except for language papers, the written test will be bilingual, meaning it will be in both English and Hindi.
  5. It is a qualifying exam with a duration of 60 minutes, and the results will not be used when creating the final merit list.

Phase 2 Exam

  1. The Phase II test will consist of 120 multiple-choice questions, each worth one mark.
  2. The exam shall last 90 minutes.
  3. Except for language papers, the online test will be multilingual, meaning in both English and Hindi.
  4. Each incorrect response will result in a 1/4th mark deduction. There will be no negative grading for unattempted questions.
  5. The final merit list will be compiled using the marks received in the phase 2 exam and the qualifying skill test.

FCI Stenographer Skill Test Pattern

  1. After completing the Phase 2 examination, successful candidates must engage in a skill test that is qualifying in character.
  2. The Skill Test will only measure typing and shorthand speed in English.
  3. Candidates must visit the official website to find out the date, time, and location of the skill test.
  4. The final merit list will be compiled based on the marks received by candidates in the Phase 2 exam and their qualification for the Skill Test.
