There are certain age limits and educational qualification parameters which the candidates must meet. To be eligible to apply for an DSSSB Nursing Officer post, the aspirants will generally need to fulfill the following parameters:
Educational Qualification
The candidate must possess a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Degree in Nursing from a recognized university or institution. Along with this, they must be registered with the Delhi Nursing Council (DNC). Also, some minimum work experience in a hospital related field or hospital setting would be desirable.
OR
The aspirants must have a Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery from a recognized Board of Council/ THey can be Registered as a Nurse or Nurse –Midwife (RN or RN & RM) from any Nursing Council/ Registered as a Nurse or Nurse –Midwife (RN or RN & RM) from Delhi Nursing Council at the time of appointment; and One year experience in minimum 50 bedded hospital would be preferable.
Age Limit
All the aspirants must fall between the age limit of 21 and 35 years of age. There may be an age relaxation criteria valid for certain reserved categories. Refer to the official notification for exact details in future drives.

- SC/ST: Below 37 years (5 years extension)
- OBC: Below 35 years (3 years extension)

- ESM: Extension by military service plus 3 years (6 years for OBC and 8 years for SC/ST)
