Bihar Teacher Age Limit 2024
The candidates must meet the age limit eligibility criteria for the post of Bihar Teacher. The candidates of the General category must not surpass the maximum age of 37 years to be eligible. Apart from this, the General category candidates applying for the position of Upper primary teacher must be of 47 years of age. The reserved categories such as SC,ST and others will have age relaxation criteria. Refer to the table below to know more.

Bihar Teacher Educational Qualification 2024

Bihar Primary Teacher
All the interested candidates must have a 12th Passing certificate along with a D.Ed/ B.Ed/ B.El.Ed. In addition to this, they must have qualified CTET / Bihar TET Paper I to be eligible.
Bihar Upper Primary Teacher
They must have graduation and possess a 2-year D.El.Ed. Or a graduation/Post Graduation degree with a total 50% marks secured with B.Ed. Or they must have a graduation degree with 45% marks secured along with a 1-year B.Ed. (as per NCTE criteria). Or a Senior Secondary pass out with 50% marks. In addition to this they must have a 4-year B.El.Ed. Or a passing certificate in Higher Secondary with a total aggregate of 50% marks along with a 4-year B.A./B.Sc.Ed. or B.A. Ed. / B.Sc. Ed. Or they must have completed graduation with 50% marks with a 1-year B.Ed. (special education). Or they must possess a Postgraduate degree with 55% marks. In addition to this they must have a 3-year integrated B.Ed.M.Ed.
Bihar Secondary Teacher
They must have graduated and possess a B.Ed./ B.El.Ed certificate. Apart from this, they must have qualified for Bihar STET Paper I.
Bihar Senior Secondary Teacher
The aspirants must have a PG + B.Ed./ B.El.ED along with a clearance in Qualifie Bihar STET Paper II.
Bihar Special Teacher
They must have completed graduation. They must also possess B.Ed. in Special Education from an institution recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India. Or they must have B. Ed. B.Sc. in Special Education with Certificate/Diploma and valid CRR No. of the Rehabilitation Council of India. In addition to this, they must have 6 months teaching training in the field of differential disability.
Bihar Teacher Nationality 2024
All the aspirants who want to apply for the post of Bihar Teachers must be Indian citizens. It is not mandatory to be the permanent residents of Bihar only. The candidates from other states can also apply.
Important Points To Remember
- The candidate can appear only 3 times for the post of Bihar Teacher to be eligible.
- All the candidates after clearing the written test will have to provide all the relevant documents for the document verification stage.
