Calcutta High Court Judgement on West Bengal Teacher Recruitment
- The Calcutta High Court has canceled a total of 24000 Jobs for which the recruitment was held in 2016
- Candidates who are recruited illegally must return the salary which is stated by the high court.
- High Court has instructed West Bengal School Service Commission to initiate the New Appointments in Next 15 Days
- A total of 23 Lakh students had attended the recruitment for over 24000 vacancies.
- Additionally, the high court mandated the dismissal of several teaching and non-teaching personnel, having identified discrepancies in their appointments.
- Following the Supreme Court’s directive to conclude the inquiry within two months from its order, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) fulfilled its mandate by conducting the investigation and presenting its findings to the high court.
