UPSC IES Vacancy 2025
A total of 232 vacancies have been declared for the UPSC IES Notification 2025. The following engineering branches are currently hiring.

UPSC IES Application Steps 2025
Candidates can fill the application form for the UPSC IES Notification online. The applications will only be accepted through online mode from 18th September 2024 to 8th October 2024. Below are the steps to apply for the exam.
- Candidates must first register on UPSC’s One Time Registration (OTR) portal. This step only needs to be accomplished once in a lifetime and can be done at any time of year.
- After successfully registering on the OTR platform, candidates can complete the online application form. They must complete the relevant information and upload papers, such as their date of birth, category, educational qualifications, and so on.
- Candidates can only change their OTR profile once in their lives. This adjustment option is accessible 7 days after the application window for their first inspection closes.
- Candidates have 7 days after the application deadline to remedy errors in their application form. This facility will be available from October 9, 2024 to October 15, 2024, excluding changes to the OTR profiles.
- Upload scanned copies of your portrait, signature, and photo ID evidence in the format specified.
- Pay the application cost based on your category.
- Submit the application form and print it for future reference.
UPSC IES Application Fees
The application process for the UPSC IES Notification will only be complete after the candidates pay the UPSC IES Application fees. All candidates, excluding SC/ST/PwBD and women (all categories), must pay an application fee of Rs. 200/-. The application fee can be paid by net banking or a credit/debit card. Candidates can also pay their fees offline by visiting the nearest SBI bank branch.

UPSC IES Educational Qualification
To meet all of the qualifying rules, candidates must complete the minimum educational requirements for the exam. To take the UPSC IES exam 2025, you must have a degree in engineering from a recognized university. UPSC has released a full list of educational prerequisites for UPSC IES Notification 2025, which is listed below:
- Candidates must hold an engineering degree from a university accredited by the Central Government, State Government, or UGC Act.
- Candidates must have passed the Institution of Engineers (India)’s Sections A and B examination.
- Candidates must hold an engineering degree or diploma course from international universities, which are recognized by the government of India.
- Candidates who have passed the Graduate Membership test of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (India).
- Candidate Parts II and III or Section A and B of the Associate Membership Examination conducted by the Aeronautical Society of India.
- Candidates must have taken the Graduate Membership Exam of the Institution of Electronics and Radio Engineers, London, after November 1959.
