What is UPSC Mains Detailed Application Form (DAF)?

The UPSC Civil Services Mains Detailed application form is available only after you clear the prelims round. The candidates who qualify the UPSC Civil Services prelims exam have to clear further two selection stages. These stages consist of a mains examination and a personality test. The aspirants must learn how to apply for the examination. To apply to for the detailed application form for the UPSC Civil Services Mains, candidates must follow the steps outlined below:

  1. Navigate through the official website of the UPSC or click the link provided above.
  2. Complete the One-Time Profile Registration (OTPR) process.
  3. On the page that opens, click on New Registration for Direct Recruitment.
  4. Candidates must provide the following information: Aadhaar details, basic information, address details, educational qualifications, photo, and signature upload.
  5. Review the information and upload all the necessary documents such as the class 10 marksheet for proof of age, degree certificate, etc.
  6. If they have work experience then updating the correct information about the current employment details, Job Title, Name of Organization and Duration of Employment is mandatory. 
  7. You will get a reference ID and it will display on the screen.
  8. Visit the login page and enter your credentials.
  9. Fill in and verify the form details.
  10. Complete the form and save or print the application form.
  11. Keep the application receipt for future reference and correspondence purposes.
