UP PGT Exam Vacancies
The aspirants must keep an eye on the total number of vacancies for UP PGT positions. The vacancies will be updated once the official announcement comes out. However, 2522 is the tentative number of total vacancies to be filled for the position of Post Graduate Teachers. The candidates can have a look at the 2022 vacancies to expect some number. There were a total of 624 vacancies for the year 2022.

- Navigate the home page and search for the link which states “ UPSESSB advertisement link 2024”.
- Create an account with your login credentials and register yourself.
- Fill the application form with all your details. Keep the educational certificates, scanned photograph and signature ready to upload.
- Proceed to pay the application fee and click on submit.
- Take a hardcopy of the application fee receipt and form for your future reference.
Application Fee

UP PGT Eligibility 2024
The board has some eligibility parameters for the UP PGT appointment which the candidates must meet. Read below to know more about the eligibility:
Nationality
The candidates must be citizens of India.
Age Limit
All the aspiring candidates must not be less than 21 years of age. The maximum age limit can be 35 years of age to be eligible for the post. There can be age relaxation for certain reserved categories. Once the announcement is made public officially, we will update the changes (if, any).
Educational Qualification
All candidates must have a Master’s degree in the relevant subjects like English/ History/Civics/ Mathematics/ Economics, etc. In addition to this, a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree or M.Ed degree is compulsory from a recognized university. PhD degree holders are also eligible for the post.
UP PGT Exam Selection Process
The board has some selection criterias according to which the recruitment process will take place. The selection process comprises three stages for Post Graduate Teachers. They are as follows:
Written test
All the aspirants will have to appear for a Written test as it is the first stage of the selection process. The test will be for a total of 425 marks. It will be an objective type paper to analyze your knowledge in relevant subjects. The written test holds a total 85 % weightage in the selection decision.
Interview Process
All the qualifying candidates will get a call for an Interview round. This is the second stage of the selection process. This round holds a total of 10 percent of total weightage. The interview process will be of total 50 marks. It will include personality questions and communication skills.
Special qualifications
In some cases, if the candidates hold a special education qualification such as higher education will be given preference. This round will account for 5% of the total weightage. The education qualification comprises 25 marks.

UP PGT Salary 2024
All the selected candidates will get an entitlement to a salary for the Uttar Pradesh PGT 2024. The salary structure follows the guidelines of 7th pay commission. The monthly in-hand salary will range between INR 47,600 -INR1,51,100. Ina addition to the base pay, they will also receive some perks and allowances like Provident Fund, Pension, House rent allowance, Dearness allowance, etc.
