The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced new UGC NET June Exam dates on 28 June, 2024. Earlier the exam was held on 18 June, 2024 but the now the exam will be conducted between 21 August and 04 September, 2024. The exam was held in offline pen-paper mode but for this session the paper will be online in CBT mode. The UGC NET is an eligibility test for the post of Assistant professor and/or Junior Research Fellowship in Indian universities and colleges. The Validity of the UGC NET examination score is 3 years. The candidates will have to apply for the exam on the official website of the National Testing Agency. The steps to be followed to apply online for the UGC NET Exam have been given below.
- Begin by visiting the official UGC website.
- On the website, locate and access the UGC NET Application Form.
- Carefully input all necessary personal and educational details into the form without errors.
- Proceed to upload a scanned photograph as per the provided guidelines.
- Upon successful attachment of the photograph, a message containing the application number will appear on the screen.
- Complete the payment of the required fee.
- Once the payment is confirmed, obtain a printout of the 2024 Application Form for future reference.

UGC NET June Eligibility

UGC NET Age Limit
The candidates who appear for the JRF Exam should not be above the age of 30 years. The candidates applying for the Assistant Professor post have no upper age limit. And Age relaxations are offered to candidates which are given in the table below.

UGC NET Educational Qualification
The candidates must have a Master’s degree with an aggregate of 55%. The educational qualification is a must for the candidates, otherwise their application form will rejected. The candidate must have original documents as a proof of their educational qualification.
Validity of UGC NET Score
The Validity of the UGC NET examination score is 3 years. The validity will end after 3 years and the candidate will have to apply again and appear for the examination again. However, for the Assistant Professorship, the score is valid forever.
