TNUSRB SI Eligibility 2024
Meeting the eligibility criteria is must for the candidates who wish to apply for the recruitment. Applicants who do not meet the age limit or educational qualification will not be considered for the selection process. Check the complete details below.
TNUSRB SI Age Limit
Applicants applying for the TNUSRB SI recruitment exam in 2024 must be a minimum of 20 years old and a maximum of 30 years old. Certain age relaxations in the upper age limit are available for candidates belonging to specific categories. Details of these age relaxations can be found below.

TNUSRB SI Educational Qualification
At the time of the application, the applicant must hold a bachelor’s degree in any field from a UGC- approved or government-recognized institution of higher learning.
TNUSRB SI Exam Pattern
Part I. Tamil Language Eligibility Test
The Tamil Language Eligibility Test is conducted as a qualifying examination. It consists of 100 objective-type questions carrying 100 marks, with a duration of 100 minutes (1 hour 40 minutes). Candidates must score a minimum of 40 marks (40%) in this test to have their main examination OMR answer sheet evaluated. However, the marks obtained in the Tamil Language Eligibility Test are not considered for preparing the provisional selection list at any stage. Additionally, for 20% of Departmental candidates, the Tamil Language Eligibility Test is conducted jointly with those applying under the open quota. Candidates applying under both the Open and Departmental categories need to take the Tamil Language Eligibility Test only once.
Part II. Main Written examination
The Main written examination comprises two parts: Part A and Part B.
Part A: This section tests candidates’ General Knowledge and consists of 80 objective-type questions, each carrying half a mark. The total marks for Part A are 40.
Part B: Part B covers an extensive syllabus with 60 objective-type questions, also carrying half a mark each. The total marks for Part B are 30.
The total duration of the examination is 2 hours and 30 minutes (2:30 hours). To qualify for further rounds of the selection process, candidates must secure a minimum of 25 marks in the main examination.
