RBI Grade B Eligibility 2024
To apply for the Reserve Bank of India Grade B exam eligibility qualifying criteria, aspirants must fulfill the minimal requirements. You must be of a certain age and possess the required level of education. They must also be citizens of India and have the required identification documents. Candidates who do not fit the eligibility standards will not be able to submit an application for the job. RBI Grade B Age Limit

Age Relaxation
The candidates belonging to the reserved categories will get an age relaxation criteria in the upper age limit. This will vary for various categories. You can refer to the table below to know more details.

RBI Grade B Educational Qualification
The candidates must meet the educational qualifications in order to be eligible for the post. They will have to hold a degree in any discipline. They must also have a master’s degree or must be MBA certified. For specific details and combination of qualifications, you can refer to the table below.

Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) – DEPR | • Essential: A Master’s Degree in Economics / Econometrics / Quantitative Economics / Mathematical Economics / Integrated Economics Course/ Finance, with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters /years from a recognised Indian or Foreign University /Institute. ORPGDM/ MBA Finance with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters /years from a recognised Indian or Foreign University /Institute. ORMaster’s Degree in Economics in any of the sub-categories of economics i.e. agricultural/ business/ developmental/ applied, etc., with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters /years from a recognised Indian or Foreign University /Institute Candidates having Master’s Degree with Research/Teaching experience at a recognized Indian/Foreign University/ Institute will be eligible for relaxation in upper age limit to the extent of number of years of such experience subject to a maximum of three years. For experience, probationary period will not be reckoned. |
Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) – DSIM | Essential:A Master’s Degree in Statistics/ Mathematical Statistics/ Mathematical Economics/ Econometrics/ Statistics & Informatics from IIT-Kharagpur/ Applied Statistics & Informatics from IIT-Bombay with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/years. ORMaster’s Degree in Mathematics with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/years and one year post-graduate diploma in Statistics or related subjects from an Institute of repute. ORM. Stat. Degree of Indian Statistical Institute with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate of all semesters/years. RBI Grade B Nationality
The candidates must be citizens of India in order to be eligible for the post. Apart from that, they must be able to provide the valid document proofs to support their claims. They do not have to be a domicile of a particular state to be eligible for the post. This will be applicable if they meet all the RBI Grade B eligibility parameters as well.
RBI Grade B Number of Attempts
Applicants from the general category may submit up to six applications. This is how they can appear in the RBI Grade B Phase I exam. As per last year’s announcement, candidates who have taken the examination six times already cannot apply again. However, applicants from the SC, ST, OBC, PwBD, or EWS categories do not have any limitations in the number of attempts they can make.
