The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is a very competitive entrance exam that will be administered on 01, 02, 15 and 16 February, 2025, for the upcoming academic year. GATE scores are very important for individuals pursuing M.Tech. or Ph.D. admissions to top universities like IITs and NITs. Furthermore, applicants can use their GATE results to get PSU recruitment.
Students who have finished undergraduate courses in relevant topics are eligible to take the GATE exam. Furthermore, PSUs (public sector undertakings) are state-owned businesses established by either the Government of India or a State Government. More than 50 PSU recruitment opportunities through GATE 2024 are expected to be made available to engineering-qualified graduates.

Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) are divided into three types, each with their unique significance and characteristics. The first category includes Maharatna PSUs, which are the most visible and financially solid.
The second group includes Navratna PSUs, which have outstanding operational and financial independence. These organizations are allowed to invest up to a certain amount without seeking government approval.
Miniratna PSUs are the third group, and they are further classified as group I and Category II based on their financial performance. Miniratna Category-I corporations have more decision-making and investment flexibility, whilst Miniratna Category-II entities have fewer powers.
