OSSSC TGT Eligibility

The OSSSC TGT Eligibility 2024 has been declared through an official notification on the website of Odisha Sub-Ordinate Staff Selection Commission. The candidates who meet the eligibility relevant to the age limit and educational qualifications only will be able to apply for the post of OSSSC TGT. The candidates must be between the age group of to be eligible for the post. Apart from this, the candidates who belong to the reserved categories may receive the age relaxation criteria. OSSSC TGT Eligibility 2024

The Odisha Sub-Ordinate Staff Selection Commission decides the eligibility parameters for the TGT Recruitment 2024. The OSSSC TGT Position requires a certain age limit and educational qualification requirements. This uses the following criteria to confirm an applicant’s eligibility.

OSSSC TGT Age Limit

The age range that the OSEPA provided in the notification must be met by applicants. This usually occurs in the range of 21 to 38 years old (as of January 1, 2024). Age relaxation for restricted categories (SC/ST, OBC, etc.) may be applied, per government laws. Read the official notification to get the exact age relaxation for each group. 

OSSSC TGT Educational Qualification

The candidates must possess a recognized university’s bachelor’s degree (Bachelor of Education) in any discipline with the designation B.Ed. The OSSSC Teacher Eligibility 2024 with the post names and their corresponding minimum academic and professional qualifications:

B.Ed. from an NCTE recognized Institution with 50% marks in aggregate.Note: Candidates must have passed a Bachelor’s Degree with any two of the following subjects:(a) For TGT-Science (PCM): Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics(b) For TGT-Science (CBZ): Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Biology, Biotechnology.
Teacher (Telugu)Graduation in Arts with Telugu as a subject with 50% marks in aggregate and Telugu B.Ed. from an NCTE recognized University/Institution.
Classical Teacher (Sanskrit)Graduation with Sanskrit as one of the electives/optional/Honours/pass subjects with 50% marks in aggregate and Shiksha Shastri (Sanskrit) from an NCTE recognized University/Institution.ORShastri (Sanskrit) with 50% marks in aggregate and Shiksha Shastri (Sanskrit) from an NCTE recognized University/Institution.
Hindi TeacherGraduation with Hindi as one of the electives/optional/pass/Honours subjects with 50% marks in aggregate and one of the following Training qualifications:– Hindi Shikshan Parangat from Kendriya Hindi Sansthan, Agra– B.H.Ed. from an NCTE recognized University/Institution– B.Ed. in Hindi from Dakshin Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha, MadrasORGraduation with 50% marks in aggregate.
Urdu TeacherAlim/Fazil with 50% marks and B.Ed./Urdu B.Ed. from NCTE.ORB.A. (Persian) with 50% marks and B.Ed. Urdu/B.Ed. from NCTE.
Physical Education Teacher+2 or its equivalent examination from a recognized institution and C.P.Ed./B.P.Ed./M.P.Ed. from a recognized Board/University.

OSSSC TGT Nationality 

According to OSSSC TGT Official Notification, a candidate who is writing the exam must belong to the following nationalities.

  1. An Indian citizen.
  2. A subject from Nepal or Bhutan.
  3. A Tibetan who arrived in India prior to January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling there.
  4. The candidates migrated from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Ethiopia, Vietnam, and Burma with the purpose of permanently settling in India.

OSSSC TGT Number of Attempts

As long as they meet all other qualifying requirements and are 38 years old. This is as determined by the OSSSC Board, candidates may apply for the OSSSC TGT Job Profile. There is no restriction on the number of attempts. 

OSSSC TGT Experience

The OSSSC TGT Eligibility does not require prior experience for application. The candidate must satisfy all the requirements, such as age, educational qualification, nationality, and requisite competency for the position.
