The Odisha School Education Programme Authority (OSEPA) issues the Odisha Junior Teacher Eligibility Criteria along with a full notification. Prior to submitting their applications, aspirants must meet all of the Odisha Junior Teacher Eligibility Criteria. If they provide inaccurate information in the Odisha Junior Teacher applications, their candidature would be disqualified immediately.

According to Odisha Junior Teacher eligibility criteria, the candidate must have odia as their mother tongue up to class X. Or pass an odia language test equivalent to Matric level administered or deemed equivalent by the BSE, Odisha. Candidates must have Odia as MIL up to class-X or pass in Odia language test equivalent to Matric standard conducted or declared equivalent by Board of Secondary Education, Odisha.
