A Graduation degree with at least 50% marks is necessary. Applicants must have passed or be appearing in a 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed)/B.Ed. (Special Education) course.Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks can apply if they have passed or are in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

They must have passed or be appearing in a 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), following NCTE’s Recognition Norms and Procedure.Graduates with at least 50% marks and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) are eligible for teaching Classes I-V. However, they must undergo a six-month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by NCTE within two years of appointment as a primary teacher.
