HP TET Exam 2024: Check Application Dates!

Himachal Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (HPBOSE) will release the notification for HP TET Exam on 4th May 2024. HP TET is conducted twice every year – June and November. In May, the notification for the June cycle will be released. The exam will be held from June 22 to July 2, 2024 for Language Teacher TET, TGT (Arts) TET, TGT (Medical) TET, Punjabi Language Teacher and Urdu Language Teacher, JBT TET, Shastri TET, TGT (Non-Medical) TET. HP TET Application Process 2024

The Himachal Pradesh TET applications were accepted online from 4th May 2024. Below are the steps to apply for the exam.

  1. Start by accessing the Himachal Pradesh Rajya Chayan Ayog’s official website.
  2. Navigate to the ‘Recruitments’ section on the site.
  3. Locate and select the application link for the HP Teacher Recruitment.
  4. Proceed with the registration process.
  5. Complete the application form designated for Himachal Pradesh Teachers.
  6. Finalize your application by paying the necessary fee, then submit your form.

HP TET Eligibility 

To attend the exam, one must meet the eligibility criteria. Check the post wise qualification mentioned below.

PostEducational Qualification
TGT Arts– B.A./B.Com. with at least 50% marks and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). Or B.A./B.Com. with at least 45% marks (only for those who have passed B.Ed. up to 30.8.2009) and 50% marks for those who have passed B.Ed. after 30.8.2009. Or 1 year B.Ed. as per NCTE regulations. Or Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El. Ed). Or Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years of B.A.Ed. Or B.A./B.Com. with at least 50% marks and 1 year B.Ed. (Special Education).
TGT (Non-Medical)– B.Sc (NM) with at least 50% marks and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). Or B.Sc (NM) with at least 45% marks (only for those who have passed B.Ed. up to 30.8.2009) and 50% marks (for those who have passed B.Ed. after 30.8.2009). Or 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) as per NCTE regulations. Or Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). Or Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years of B.Sc.(NM) Ed. Or B.Sc (NM) with at least 50% marks and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) (Special Education).
TGT (Medical)– B.Sc.(Medical) with at least 50% marks and 1 year Bachelor in Education(B.Ed). Or B.Sc (Medical) with at least 45% (only for those who have passed B.Ed up to 30.08.2009) and 50% marks (for those who have passed B.Ed. after 30.08.2009). Or 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) as per NCTE regulations. Or Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). Or Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years B.Sc.(Medical) Ed. Or B.Sc (Medical) with at least 50% marks and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) (Special Education).
Shastri TET– Shastri with at least 50% marks from an institution/University recognized by H.P. Government.
Language Teacher– B.A. with Hindi as an elective subject and 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education. Or B.A. with at least 50% marks with Hindi as an elective subject and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). Or B.A. with at least 45% with Hindi as an elective subject and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) as per NCTE regulations. Or B.A. with at least 50% marks with Hindi as an elective subject and 1 year Bachelor in Education(B.Ed.) (Special Education). Or Prabhakar (Honours in Hindi) with 50% marks followed by a BA Examination (English and one additional subject) with 50% marks and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). Or M.A. (Hindi) with at least 50% marks and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
Junior Basic Training– 10+2 with 50% marks and a two years JBT certificate course from a recognized institute. Or Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% and 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with NCTE regulations. Or Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education (Special Education). Or Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). Or Graduation and two years Diploma in Elementary Education.
Punjabi Language Teacher– B.A. with Punjabi as an elective subject and 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education. Or B.A. with at least 50% marks with Punjabi as an elective subject and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). Or B.A. with at least 45% with Punjabi as an elective subject and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) as per NCTE regulations. Or B.A. with at least 50% marks with Punjabi as an elective subject and 1 year Bachelor in Education(B.Ed.) (Special Education). Or Giani with 50% marks followed by BA Examination (English and one additional subject) with 50% marks and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). Or M.A. (Punjabi) with at least 50% marks and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
Urdu Language Teacher– B.A. with Urdu as an elective subject and 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education. Or BA with at least 50% marks with Urdu as an elective subject and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). Or BA with at least 45% marks with Urdu as an elective subject and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) as per NCTE regulations. Or BA with at least 50% marks with Urdu as an elective subject and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) (Special Education). Or B.T. with 50% marks followed by BA Examination (English and one additional subject with 50% marks and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). Or M.A. (Urdu) with at least 50% marks and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).

HP TET Exam Pattern

  • The exam will be held in offline mode.
  • A total of 150 questions are asked.
  • The exam will be held for 150 marks.
