Candidates are recommended to thoroughly study the FCI Assistant Grade III Syllabus and Exam Pattern before beginning their exam preparation. The candidates are selected based on their performance in the common online exam for various Assistant Grade III positions. AG III: General (Postcode-D), AG III: Accounts (Postcode-E), AG III: Technical (Postcode-F), AG III: Depot (Postcode-G), and AG III Hindi (Postcode-H) are among the various job profiles. The FCI Assistant Grade III selection procedure is separated into two stages: online exam and document verification.

FCI Assistant Exam Pattern 2024
The Food Corporation of India conducts a two-phase online exam for several Assistant Grade III positions. Each phase has a specific syllabus and examination style.
- All exams conducted during Phases 1 and 2 will receive a 1/4th negative marking.
- The examination is computer-based and will ask objective-type questions.
- The comprehensive description of both phases is provided below:
Phase 1
- The Phase 1 test pattern stays consistent across all five Assistant Grade III positions.
- There will be 100 questions, each worth one mark. The overall time span of the Phase 1 online exam will be 60 minutes, divided equally into 15 minute halves.
- Except for the language paper, the test will be conducted in both languages.
- The final marks obtained in Phase 1 will not be considered when determining the cut off list. Furthermore, candidates for 15 times the number of positions will be chosen and allowed to participate in Phase 2 of the online exam.

Phase 2
Candidates who pass the Phase 1 exam will be eligible for Phase 2 of the online exam.
- Phase 2 is further separated into two papers: Paper I and Paper II.
- Paper I will be similar for all Assistant Grade III postings, with the exception of Paper II, which will be used to assess candidates’ topic knowledge. Candidates who apply for the job preference in Technical, Hindi, or Accounts must also appear in Paper II.
Paper I
- In Paper I, there will be 120 multiple-choice questions, each worth one mark. So the maximum mark would be 120.
- The final merit list for AG III: General and AG III: Depot will be based only on the scores obtained in Paper I.

Paper II
Paper II is still objective, but the questions are more post-specific.
The final merit list of applicants who applied for AG III: Technical, AG III: Accounts, and AG III: Hindi will be based on the scores obtained in both Paper I and Paper 2.
It is worth noting that Paper II is separated into two divisions for AG (technical):

Candidates must select one of the groups while submitting their application. So, the questions in Paper II will be centered on previously mentioned topics.

- Questions about commerce, specifically accounting and finance (Post Code E).
- Questions about Agriculture, Botany, and Zoology (Group A) (Post Code F) Questions about Agriculture, Physics, and Chemistry (Group B)
- GK relates to Hindi literature (4 questions). Words/Sentences for Hindi to English Translation (20 Questions). Official Language Policy (4 Questions), Official Language Act (4 Questions), and Official Language Rules (4 Questions). Annual Programme Issued by the Department of Official Language (4 Questions)
