CTET Exam Application Fee

Applicants from the General/OBC(NCL) category must pay ₹1000 for a single CTET December 2024 paper; applicants from the SC/ST and PH categories just need to pay ₹500. The application fee is ₹1200 for General/OBC(NCL) candidates and ₹600 for SC/ST and PH candidates if they are applying for both Paper I and II. They can use a debit card, credit card, NET banking, or UPI to make the necessary payment.

CTET Exam Eligibility 2024 

The qualifying requirements for the CTET December 2024(Central Teacher qualifying Test) exam can be divided into two primary categories: age restriction and educational background. 

Age Limit

  1. The minimum age limit to apply for CTET 2024 is 18 years.
  2. There is no restriction on the upper age limit to apply for the CTET exam.

Educational Qualification

  1. Candidates must hold an Intermediate qualification in addition to a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (DElEd) or a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (BElEd) in order to sit for Paper I of the CTET December 2024 exam. 
  2. Conversely, candidates who intend to take Paper II must have finished a 2-year DElEd, 4-year BElEd, or 2-year Bachelor of Education (BEd) program in addition to having a Bachelor’s degree.

CTET Exam Selection Process 2024

Shortlisted candidates for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) will be chosen based on how well they scored on the exam. As the CTET is merely an eligibility test, passing it does not guarantee candidates a job. They must apply for employment at various schools in accordance with the openings that require CTET Certification. CTET Salary 2024

Competitive CTET salaries are anticipated for those who pass the December 2024 CTET exam and land jobs as Primary Teachers (PRT), Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT), or Post Graduate Teachers (PGT). These positions pay between ₹9,300 and ₹34,800, with varying grade pay scales. After the 7th CPC, primary teachers receive about ₹35,400 in base pay, TGTs receive ₹44,900, and PGTs receive ₹47,600. The gross CET pay ranges from ₹40,240 to ₹53,550 with allowances like TA and HRA, whereas net wages typically range from ₹35,000 to ₹50,000, depending on the function.
