The BIS Junior Secretariat Assistant Eligibility 2024 has been declared through an official notification on the website of Bureau of Indian Standards. The candidates who will meet the eligibility parameters only will be able to apply for the post of BIS Junior Secretariat Assistant. BIS Junior Secretariat Assistant Eligibility 2024
The candidates must fulfill all the minimal requirements in order to be eligible to apply for the BIS Junior Secretariat Assistant Exam. You must meet certain requirements regarding age and education level. In addition, they must be Indian citizens and have the required identity certificates. The position will not be open to applications from candidates who do not match the eligibility conditions. BIS Junior Secretariat Assistant Age Limit
The candidates who want to apply for the post of BIS Junior Secretariat Assistant must be maximum of 27 years of age. However, the maximum age limit will differ for various categories. Apart from this candidates belonging to the reserved categories will receive an age relaxation in the upper age limit.

BIS Junior Secretariat Assistant Educational Qualification
The candidate must have a degree (graduation) in any subject from an Indian university accepted by the government, or any comparable credentials accepted as such by the national government. The candidates must be proficient with the knowledge of Computers. The Candidate should be proficient at least up to Level 5 of National Skill Qualification framework.
The test will be of qualifying in nature and the candidates must possess a typing speed of 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi on Computer ( thirty five words per minute and thirty words per minute correspond to 10500 KDPH/9000 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word) (Time allowed – Ten minutes).
The qualifying result must have been announced between April 1, 2020, and August 1, 2024, inclusive. Candidates must provide their mark sheets and any provisional or degree certificates from their college or university as soon as the bank requests them.
BIS Junior Secretariat Assistant Nationality
The candidates must be Indian citizens & they are required to apply for the position of Junior Secretariat Assistant at BIS. Additionally, the candidate must be one of the following: (i) an Indian citizen;
(ii) a subject of Nepal;
(iii) a subject of Bhutan;
(iv) a Tibetan refugee who arrived in India prior to January 1, 1962, with the intention of settling there permanently;
OR
(v) a person of Indian descent who has immigrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka; East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India; provided that a candidate falling under categories:
(ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favor the Indian government has given an eligibility certificate.
