SBI Apprentice Recruitment 2026

The State Bank of India (SBI) has released a massive recruitment notification to hire 7,150 Apprentices across various branches in the country. If you are a graduate looking to gain real-world banking experience with India’s largest public sector bank, this is a great opportunity.

Good news for candidates SBI has officially extended the last date to apply. You can now submit your applications online through the official careers portal (sbi.co.in) until June 15, 2026.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational Qualification: You must have a graduation degree in any stream from a recognized university.
  • Age Limit: Your age should be between 20 and 28 years. Age relaxation applies to reserved categories (3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC/ST) as per government rules.

Stipend and Training Details

Selected candidates will undergo a 1-year training program. During this period, you will receive a fixed monthly stipend of ₹15,000. While this is an apprenticeship and not a permanent job, completing it gives you an official experience certificate from SBI. This certificate is highly valuable and can give you an advantage in future bank clerk recruitment exams.

Selection Process and Exam Pattern

The final selection depends on your performance in an online written test, followed by a local language proficiency test and a medical checkup.

The online exam will last for 60 minutes and consist of 100 objective-type questions. Keep in mind that there is a negative marking of 0.25 (1/4th) for every wrong answer.

  5. Upload a scanned copy of your photo and signature, pay the required fee, and submit the form.
