The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the NEET UG 2026 results along with the category-wise qualifying cut-off marks. This year, the minimum qualifying marks have increased across all major categories, reflecting stronger competition among candidates.
According to the official cut-off, candidates from the General and EWS categories must score at least 213 marks to qualify for the medical entrance examination. For candidates belonging to the OBC, SC, and ST categories, the qualifying mark has increased to 177.
Education experts say the qualifying cut-off has seen a significant jump compared to last year. The General and EWS qualifying score increased from 144 in 2025 to 213 in 2026, while the OBC, SC, and ST qualifying score rose from 113 to 177.

This year, more than 11.21 lakh candidates qualified in the NEET UG 2026 examination. Female candidates accounted for 58% of all qualified candidates, according to the released result data.
With the results now declared, the admission process will move to the counselling stage. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct counselling for All India Quota seats, while state counselling authorities will handle admissions under their respective state quotas.
