UP Police SI Age Limit 2024
The candidates must be aware of the age limit criteria to be eligible for the sub inspector position. The minimum age requirement is 21 years and the maximum age limit is 28 years for all the candidates. There may be an age relaxation preference applicable for the reserved categories such as SC, ST and OBC as per government regulations. For more precise details refer to the table below.

UP Police SI Educational Qualification 2024
The candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline or stream from a recognized university or its equivalent is compulsory. Along with this, the candidate must know Hindi typing (in Unicode on Inscript keyboard) with a typing speed of 25 words per minute. And the English typing speed must be at least 30 words per minute. The candidates appearing for their final year exams are also eligible for the post. Along with this certain requirements are as follows:
- The candidate must mandatorily possess an “O” level certificate in Computer literacy from the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT Society). Or by any other recognized institution by the Government.
- The candidate must have the skills of Hindi shorthand dictation at a minimum speed of 80 words per minute.
UP Police SI Nationality 2024
The candidates must be citizens of India and they must be able to provide all the documents for verification purposes. The Tibetan refugees who migrated to India before 1st January 1962 can also apply for the post. Moreover, the people from Indian origin who are permanently settled in India from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania are also eligible.
