The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has released the TNPSC Group 2 Syllabus for the Combined Civil Services Examination Group II, which is utilized to fill various vacancies in the state government. The TNPSC Group 2 Notification 2024 was issued on June 20, 2024, with 2327 vacancies. The syllabus for TNPSC Group 2 and 2A exams is comprehensive and covers a wide range of disciplines. As previously stated, the TNPSC Group 2 Prelims Exam will be placed on September 14, 2024; hence, candidates studying for the exam should begin preparing immediately. TNPSC Group 2 Syllabus 2024
The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has issued the TNPSC Group 2 Syllabus for the Combined Civil Services Examination Group II, which is used to fill various positions in the state government. The TNPSC Group 2 Notification 2024 was released on June 20, 2024, featuring 2327 vacancies. The syllabus for the TNPSC Group 2 and 2A exams is extensive and covers a wide range of subjects. TNPSC Group 2 Syllabus for Prelims
The TNPSC Group 2 Prelims Syllabus will contain 200 objective type questions. The preliminary test is broken into two parts: General Studies and Aptitude Test. We have selected all of the relevant topics for both general studies and general aptitude. General English is a new addition to the TNPSC Group 2 Syllabus, broken into three parts: Part A (Grammar), Part B (Literature), and Part C (Author & Literary Work). TNPSC Group 2 Syllabus for Prelims
TNPSC Group 2 Mains Exam would be written in nature. It consists of two papers, Paper I and Paper II.
- Paper 1 includes two questions on Tamil to English translation and English to Tamil translation, as well as questions on precise writing, comprehension, hints development, essay writing on ‘Thirukkural’, and letter writing.
- Paper 2 covers the themes from General Studies (Degree Standard).

TNPSC Group 2 Exam Pattern 2024
The TNPSC Group 2 Exam is divided into three parts: preliminary, main, and interview. The services are classified as Group 2 and Group 2A. The interview round is only for Group 2 positions. There is no interview for the Group 2A openings.

TNPSC Group 2 Prelims Exam Pattern 2024
Before proceeding to the syllabus, review the preliminary and detailed test patterns. The Prelims exam is used to eliminate non-serious candidates from the selection process. The preliminary test is solely qualifying in nature, and students must achieve at least 90 marks to qualify. We have presented the important highlights of the TNPSC Group 2 Prelims exam.
- The questions in the General Tamil/General English, Aptitude, and Mental Ability Test shall be of the S.S.L.C. standard.
- Questions from General Studies will be at the Degree Standard level.

TNPSC Group 2 Mains Exam Pattern 2024
Candidates who pass the preliminary exam will move on to the main exam, which is separated into two parts: Paper I and Paper II. Only applicants who receive the minimum qualifying marks in Paper I will be evaluated on Paper II.
- The TNPSC Group 2 Mains Exam consists of two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 2 is mostly qualifying, whereas Paper 2 is also scoring.
- The scores obtained in the Mains exam will be considered for the final merit list.
- Paper 1 is purely qualifying in character. Those who qualify for Paper I will have their Paper II sheets examined.
- Qualifying for the group 2 and group 2A main exams requires a minimum of 102 and 90 marks, respectively.
