The HP TET Eligibility 2024 comprises certain criterias and parameters which the candidates must meet. HP TET Eligibility 2024
The candidates must fulfill all the minimal requirements in order to be eligible to apply for the HP TET Exam. You must meet certain requirements regarding age and education level. In addition, they must be Indian citizens and have the required identity certificates. The Exam will not be open to applications from candidates who do not match the eligibility conditions. There can be further requirements for language proficiency in Hindi, English, or any other state-relevant vernacular language. HP TET Age Limit
The aspiring candidates are not required to be of a specific age limit. There is no restriction on the upper age limit in order to be eligible for the post of teachers. However, they must be at least 18 years of age.
HP TET Educational Qualification
The candidates must meet the educational qualification requirements to be eligible for the post. This will be different for various positions. They are as follows:
HP TET Eligibility 2024 for Language Teachers
- A Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree with Hindi as an elective subject and a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
OR
- A BA degree with at least 50% marks in Hindi as an elective subject and a one-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree.
OR
- A BA degree with at least 45% marks in Hindi as an elective subject and a one-year B.Ed. degree in accordance with the National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE) Recognition Norms and Procedure Regulations.
OR
- A BA degree with at least 50% marks in Hindi as an elective subject and a one-year B.Ed. degree (Special Education).
OR
- A Prabhakar (Honours in Hindi) degree with 50% marks, followed by a BA degree (English and one additional subject) with 50% marks from a recognized university, and a one-year B.Ed. degree.
OR
- A Master of Arts (MA) degree in Hindi with at least 50% marks from a recognized university, and a one-year B.Ed. degree.

HP TET Eligibility for Junior Basic Training (JBT)
- A two-year JBT certificate course from an institute duly recognized by the Central/State government, with at least 50% marks in 10+2 from a recognized Board/University.
OR
- A two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2002, with at least 45% marks in Senior Secondary (or its equivalent).
OR
- A two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (Special Education), with at least 50% marks in Senior Secondary (or its equivalent).
OR
- A 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed), with at least 50% marks in Senior Secondary (or its equivalent).
OR
- A two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), with at least 50% marks in Graduation.
HP TET Eligibility Certificate
The candidates who will qualify in the Himachal Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test will be awarded the HP TET eligibility certificate. All categories will have a lifetime validity duration for the HP TET qualifying certificate for appointment. The number of attempts a candidate may make to get a TET certificate shall not be limited. An individual who passed the TET exam is eligible to retake it in order to raise their score.
HP TET Nationality
The candidates must be citizens of India in order to be eligible for the post. Apart from that, they must be able to provide the valid document proofs to support their claims. They need to present documents if they are a domicile of Himachal Pradesh state to be eligible for the post. This will be applicable if they meet all the HP TET eligibility parameters as well.
